When should the inspection happen?
The timing depends on the order and risk. A pre-shipment inspection normally happens when finished goods and packaging are sufficiently complete for the agreed checks.
What references are required?
Useful references include the purchase order, approved sample or specification, artwork, labels, packaging files, quantity data and buyer-specific checkpoints.
Can STC inspect several SKUs?
Yes. The inspection scope must identify each SKU, colour mix, quantity, packaging difference and the sampling basis that applies.
What happens when a difference is found?
The difference is documented with evidence and an Alert or Pending state. The buyer then chooses correction, reinspection, documented acceptance or shipment hold.
Is reinspection available?
Reinspection can be coordinated when goods have been corrected or when a checkpoint could not be closed during the first visit.
Is inspection the same as certification?
No. Inspection checks the supplied goods against approved requirements. An accredited laboratory confirms test results against the applicable standard.
